Hydration on Keto

A solid nutritional plan is key to getting into ketosis. Other than that, a solid hydration plan is also the key to enjoying the experience once you’re there.

Dehydration is one of the most common side effects of the keto diet. Many people overlook how much water you must be drinking when you're on a low-carb diet. Yes, this simply means people eating keto need to drink more water compared to other diets.

What You Need to Know About Hydration

If you’re not hydrated enough, then you need to make some adjustments; you need to do better. I’ve been living in Southern California since 2003 and based on my observation, people are having big problems with hydration.

Actually, I’ve noticed that hydration problems are normally experienced by people in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and any other places that have desert areas.

Lots of people are forgetting how crucial hydration is. Let me get this much clearer. If you’re on a ketogenic, low-carb diet, or you’re in ketosis, you potentially need to hydrate more efficiently and more effectively. What does that mean?

It’s not always about the amount of water you need to drink. It’s more about getting minerals in your water. Keto is a natural diuretic, so, therefore, if you’re already slightly hydrated or you’re more prone to dehydration, you’re going to release some of those minerals when you pee. And you don’t want to do that.

Tips and Reminders on How to Improve Hydration

At this point, I want to give you the best simple solutions to help you improve your hydration right off the bat.

One of the things I recommend, when you wake up, is to drink a huge glass of water and put a pinch of sea salt in it (Celtic Sea Salt). Himalayan can be a good option too but it’s a lot more expensive. Yes, starting your day with a big glass of water with a pinch of sea salt can help improve hydration.

However, if you’re drinking ketones (Keto Nat), MITO//PLEX should also have to go in there. Partnering MITO//PLEX with your ketones can highly improve hydration.

MITO//PLEX is upgraded and it has supplementary benefits instead of just traditional electrolytes. A traditional electrolyte isn’t necessarily formulated for our product; MITO//PLEX is.

This mixture also contains p2p that helps with mitochondrial function and the ability for the cell to turn over and become more efficient. MITO//PLEX helps in accelerating results. That’s why this is so superior in so many ways.

If you’re a person who’s prone to dehydration, headaches, or sluggishness, or you’re getting tired while you're on keto or while drinking ketones, that tells that you’re dehydrated most of the time. Some people on the ketogenic diet don’t feel that super zest or superpower even if they’re always drinking water. Why is that so? We’ll tackle that as we go further.

This is why taking MITO//PLEX is very important. You need to take this once or twice a day. If you think you’re prone to dehydration, it’s more recommended for you to take it twice a day. If you do this while drinking your ketones, you will undoubtedly shift so fast and so well.

But, if you don’t have your MITO//PLEX yet, you can alternatively use some sea salt. You can also get some electrolytes from a health or food store. You can try taking these twice a day. However, it’s not formulated the same way for what we’re doing. But then, I must say that sea salt is a very great tool.

A lot of people tend to eat less sodium and less salt in general. Also, they tend to be more active and they normally use filtered water. So, this is the reason why dehydration is a really big problem. They’re either very active, they live in a hot place, or both.

One other reason is that they use a lot of bottled water, filtered water, or reverse osmosis distilled water. These types of water don't have the right amount of minerals in them. The balance isn’t there and their pH is going to be low or more acidic. It’s a problem because it’s going to cause more dehydration.

So if you’re drinking lots of water and yet still feeling lightheaded, you’re most likely mineral efficient. Electrolytes and sodium are going to play big roles in that. Lots of the ketone experts recommend a lot more sodium if you’re in ketosis. Our product has sodium in it which is truly beneficial. Even so, some of you might need to get a little bit more of it.

If you’re a person that uses a lot of bottled water or reverses osmosis water, you need to put a pinch of sea salt in it every time. It doesn't have to taste salty. You just have to be sure that you’re always putting a pinch of salt every time you drink water. It’s going to help a lot in your hydration.

It’s also quite beneficial to put more sea salt in your food. In this way, you’re going to notice even more improvement, energy, and vitality. You’re going to feel a lot more energetic.

If you can choose a better water option, ensure that it has more spring water in it. And always keep in mind that if the bottle says one thing about its water, it doesn’t always mean it’s true. So when drinking bottled water, you need to add some additional to that.

If you get a light headache, one of the little tips I like to give is to take an 18th of a teaspoon of sea salt. It’s equivalent to a good-size pinch of sea salt. Throw that in a little shot glass of water, drink it down, and drink your ketones after.

After 30 minutes, do that same process again and see if your headache goes away. That will be a good indicator to see if your energy levels boost back up that you’re basically mineral deficient. In this case, you’ll need more sodium and electrolytes.

You need to keep in mind that drinking ketones don’t cause dehydration; it highlights the deficiency that was already there. So if you’re prone to dehydration and you’re not feeling energetic, you’re probably already in the dehydration stage. You’ll be prone to cramps, headaches, and fatigue.

Therefore, ketones are truly great in accelerating your health and vitality. But if you’re having hydration problems, you need to combine it with MITO//PLEX. You also need to add more seal salt into your diet. Plenty of scientific research says that salt isn’t causing all of these problems. Yes, along with your ketones and MITO//PLEX, include more salt in your routine.
