WHY IS THE SCALE YOUR BIGGEST ENEMY WHILE TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT?

People tie so much of who they are into what that scale says. They think that number defines them, and it impacts how they feel. You will stress out before you step on the scale about what the weight will be. Then you step on the scale and see what it says. It never says you lost enough, and if it goes up that’s even more stressful. After you get off the scale you are thinking about what that scale says all day. Like that number defines who you are.

There is a lot of stress people put on themselves because of it. Stress will jack up cortisol which will jack up blood sugar, and as you may know, this is not a good combination. When blood sugar is high, you tend to store more fat. So after all, the scale is making you fatter.

The scale also doesn’t measure your muscle mass.

So if you are working out and gaining muscle, the scale will go up but that doesn’t mean you are getting fatter. Muscle weighs, you could also be retaining liquids because your period is coming or you ate salty foods. There are so many things that the scale doesn’t take into account, but people still let it control their lives.

My best tip for you is, don’t be a scale slave, your worth is not determined by a number. If you have been working out, eating right, and most importantly drink my suggested keto (check out the link at the bottom), trust me when I say you are transforming!

If you want to sabotage yourself and your goals of getting healthier use a scale, it's one of the psychologically most damaging things that you can do to create the right environment for you to be successful! So, do yourself a favor and ditch the scale!

I want you to be successful in your journey to being healthier so that is why I urge you not to use the scale. There are other ways of measuring your success. Take some progress pictures. Measure your waistline or hips. See how your clothes fit. Those are things that will give you a better idea of how you are progressing in your health journey.

The scale is just one variable of many. So a tip I have for you is to find a set of clothes that don't fit and put them on the back of your door, (actually put them on first and CELEBRATE because they are gonna be fitting soon!) and every two weeks try them on until they fit, and then you will know your body is transforming, you don't want to lose weight, you want to lose body fat. and remember to celebrate every time you try those clothes because you are making progress!

Don't let it get in your head and create psychological warfare that happens continuously in a loop, so get rid of it, give it to your neighbor that you don't like, make it gone and let's go change your life forever.

Now that you know how the scale makes you fatter, are you going to ditch it for good? I hope so! Be sure to let me know in the comments below and share this post with a friend who is still a slave to the scale. Thanks for reading and until next time, bye friends.
