Getting ready for Summer | What does it mean to have a Summer Body?

Being a coach for over 20 years I've learned that there is a few times a year where people get committed to their fat loss and health journey, one being new years resolutions and the next it's summertime.


Summer is just around the corner, and that means it's time to start thinking about getting into shape. Many people associate summer with beaches, barbecues, and pool parties, and they want to look their best for these events. If you're one of those people, then you need to start planning your fitness routine now. In this blog post, we will discuss what it takes to have a "summer body" what it even means and how you can achieve it.


In my years in being in the fitness and health industry, I used to always say, "Stay fit and healthy all the time!" But what's interesting and cool is that it's great to have a reason to get in shape and healthy. And for a lot of people, summer is that time! It's the perfect motivation to finally commit to a fitness routine and see some real results. So, what does it mean to have a "summer body?"


For starters, it doesn't mean you have to be skinny or have six-pack abs (although those are nice). It means losing body fat, being more active, eating better and healthier choices. Because we also know that in the summertime we like to drink a bit more alcohol, going to a few more barbecues and social events. So we want to make sure that we are offsetting those things by being more active and making healthier food choices. And summertime is the right time to get your body moving and starting in the right path to success, so you can feel great when you go to the beach, the park, or see the people you like at these events.

If you want to get started on your fitness journey, or if you're already on it and just need some extra motivation, then follow these tips and you'll be well on your way to having the perfect summer body!


Losing body fat is the first step to getting a summer body. And there are a few ways you can go about doing this. You can either do it the old-fashioned way - through diet and exercise - or you can follow my number one tip which is to start keto and low carb, this is the best way to get healthy!

  • When it comes to diet, you need to make sure that you're eating healthy and nutritious foods. This means plenty of vegetables and protein and clean fats. And if you can, try to avoid processed foods as much as possible. But eat only when you are hungry, have your first meal around lunchtime (basically you are skipping breakfast), and have your second meal around dinner time 6 pm.


  • - Start exercising now: If you want to see results by summer, then you need to start moving your body now, just by doing 3 to 4 bouts of exercise per week you are on the winning side and you will see amazing results. It could be walking, a bike ride, taking a hike, dancing to the oldies, or working out at the gym. But just start moving your body and remember if it doesn't challenge you it won't change you.


  • Last but not least do this with a friend, spouse, or family member. Because let's face it, getting in shape is more fun with someone else! And you can hold each other accountable and support each other along the way.
